Catalogue features

Use your credentials to log in and to take advantage of all services.

  • Borrowing

If you are logged in the catalogue, once found the desired item you may use the “Borrowing request” function. Since some collections may be stored off-site, you may use this function to request the desired item and pick it up at library desk. Usually, items may be borrowed for 15 days. Special and reference materials do not circulate. More details are available at your library.
  • Inter-library loan (ILL) and Document delivery (DD)

If an item is owned by an Italian or foreign library, you may ask your library for an inter-library loan (in some cases postal expenses may be applicable).  More details are available at your library.
  • Reference services

Library staff is available for quick information and reference service. Furthermore, information literacy classes (in Italian) are held by libraries. Ask your library for details.
  • Reproduction services

Photocopying and reproduction are allowed under the respect of Italian legislation. Photocopiers and scanners are available in most Sapienza libraries. Users are recommended to handle items with care in order not to cause physical damages.
